“ACT-SO is a celebration of black excellence,” said Derrick Johnson, NAACP President and CEO. “Recognizing and rewarding our outstanding youth who exemplify scholastic and artistic excellence is an honor. We’re excited to continue this tradition and foster the talent of a future generation of leaders.”
For more than 40 years, the ACT-SO program has amplified the scholastic and artistic talents of students all over the nation.
ACT-SO is a stimulating year-long achievement program for 9-12th grade students focusing on development through academic and cultural achievement. ACT-SO also hosts a yearly competition comprised of 32 categories including STEM, humanities, performing, visual and culinary arts.
This program inspires young, black students to expand their horizons and believe in their talents for a lifetime. An investment toward your student’s future starts with ACT-SO.
