Below are the achievements and activities the West Metro NAACP Branch engaged in over the last two years. We are encouraged with the work we have done, and strive to do even more in 2021!

• Installation of Branch Officers by Judge Barbara Caldwell.
• President Bates was one of the speakers at the 4th Annual M.L. King, Jr. Commemorative Service
at the First Baptist Church in Dallas, Georgia. The theme of her message was, “There Is Work to Do!”.

• Civil Rights Activist and former State Representative Tyrone Brooks lead leadership training for the Executive Board. We were reminded that the work of human rights is a marathon and not a sprint. We must be vigilant!

Collaborations
West Metro NAACP has collaborated with:
1. New Horizons to ensure development in the Northside is equitable.
2. The Paulding County School System to ensure there is an active plan for the eradication of racial bullying.
3. Divine 9 Fraternities and Sororities in Douglas and Paulding Counties.
4. Douglas County Law Enforcement.
5. Paulding County Law Enforcement.
Other Successes
1. The Executive Board attended two NAACP State Conferences.
2. The current Executive Board brought the Branch into compliance with the State and National ordinances.
3. Our "Get a Life" Campaign resulted in 100% of the Executive Board becoming Lifetime Subscribers to the NAACP.
4. The Executive Board has committed to sponsor 25 Youth Memberships.
